O filme começa exatamente onde acabou a segunda temporada, com Takumi já tendo aprendido a controlar o seu AE86 modificado (na disputa com o AE86 Turbo), e indo para sua revanche contra o 4WD do Kyouichi. Depois dessa super-corrida, o ritmo do filme cai um pouco e mostra os personagens vivendo suas vidas e se preocupando com o futuro, agora que o colegial está terminando. Paralelo a isso, surge um novo competidor querendo se vingar do Takumi e, lógico, nada melhor que desafiá-lo para um racha. Além disso, é mostrado um pouco do passado do Bunta, pai do Takumi.

A young servant, Sanshiro, who has fallen in love with his master's daughter, Momoyo, tortures himself with lustful thoughts as he spies on the buxom young woman from a hole in her ceiling. Full of despair on the day her fiancée returns from abroad to take her away, Sanshiro watches in amazement as Momoyo and her fiancée engage in some depraved S&M activities with each other and various members of the house. As time passes, Sanshiro becomes convinced that these bizarre rituals are designed to summon some sort of demon, and he takes it upon himself to stop Momoyo's fiancée from destroying the woman he loves.

The story takes place at the Toenail of Satan's Spartan Institute of Higher Education. This school is extremely strict, punishing the lowest scoring students with harsh whipping and public shaming. Kekko Kamen won't stand for that though, and rescues female students from being exposed in public while wearing nothing but her mask.

The Earth is being invaded by aliens. Fortunately, the aliens are so concerned about budgets and the cost of the invasion that they haven't succeeded yet. To defend the Earth, Dr Kishida has designed ARIEL, a giant robot shaped in the likeness of a woman with body-armor. Unfortunately, he has selected his relatives (his grand-daughters Aya and Kazumi Kishida, and his niece Mia Kawai) to be the pilots, and they are far more interested in their own lives.

In episode 2, Amuro, Kamille and Judau fight over who runs the better pension when Char comes in to crash their party. They befriend a fisherman and his wife but are forced to run for their lives when soldiers on a military exercise decide to take home some fox pelts as souvenirs. A sweet little film that obliquely symbolizes the plight of Japan's aboriginal Ainu people and the northern islands that have been contested with Russia since they were occupied by Stalin's soldiers in 1945.

Após executar uma dobra espacial que enviou ele e parte do Sul da Ilha de Atalia à borda do Sistema Solar, a fortaleza espacial Macross está em seu caminho de volta à Terra. Durante uma batalha contra as forças Zentraedi, o jovem piloto Hikaru Ichijo resgata a cantora Lynn Minmay e sua relação se desenvolve quando ficam presos em algum lugar da nave. Mas, logo depois de finalmente retornar à Macross City, Minmay é capturada pelos Zentraedi. Hikaru e a oficial Misa Hayase acabam de volta ao planeta Terra (apenas para ver as consequências da destruição de sua civilização). Apenas uma canção descoberta há milhares de anos, juntamente com a voz de Minmay, pode determinar o resultado da guerra.
