After being thrown out of his village, Pandu goes to the city and falls in love with Rajani. However, two notorious men try all they can to separate them forever.

The film begins with the marriage of Giri (Rajendra Prasad) and Seeta (Rajani). Seeta is an Orthodox woman, who troubles Giri with her traditional customs on the provocation of her grandmother Akhilandeswari (Nirmalamma). Giri works at the branch office of a chit fund company owned by Krishna (Nutan Prasad). Krishna leads a happy family life with his wife Radha (Y. Vijaya). Once he visits the branch office, appreciates Giri's sincerity, gives him the promotion and he is transferred to head office. In the process of searching for a rental house, Giri is attracted towards a prostitute Sandhya (Chandrika). But to his misfortune, they were caught by Police. To escape, he introduces her as his wife and for the witness they call Krishna. Krishna takes them and keeps in his opposite house, helpless Giri has to obey his order.

Ramu (Nandamuri Balakrishna) is an orphan whom Lawyer Raghava Rao (Jaggayya) and Gayatri Devi (Sharada) had adopted and treated like a son, as one of their four children. Ramu was very sensible and loved his parents a lot, he could do anything for his parents. Once Ramu meets Sita (Rajani), who is the daughter of the servant in their house and falls in love with her. Ramu's freedom and rights in the affairs of their house is not liked by their own sons Satish and Ramesh (Hari Prasad and Bhaskar) and son-in-law Gopalam (Sudhakar). So they plan and remove Ramu from their house and take all the authorities. Now Ramu is trying to reunite his family. Whether he will he be successful in his mission forms the rest of the story.

Rajesh (Nagarjuna) is a racy youngster who falls in love with Alekhya (Rajani). The film begins with two close friends Sadguna Rao (Chandra Mohan) & Madhusudan Rao (Rajendra Prasad). Once he is acquainted with a beautiful girl Keerthana (Preeti) in funny circumstances and they fall in love. Keertana also holds a mate Vindhya (Rajani) a stage artist. Right now, the story unfolds by Keerthana divulging Vindhya regarding her childhood marriage with a guy Venkata Sivam in their village which she denies and even changed her name from Vighneshwari to Keerthana.

After few years, Raja falls in love with one of his colleague in college without knowing that she is Subbaramayya's daughter, her name is Vara Laxmi. But their love was accepted neither by Laxmi's brother Hari nor by Govindayya. The rest of the film is all about how Raja struggles to marry Lakshmi with creating the relationship between both the families.
