Curiosa trama de suspense que envolve muito mais coisas do que é sugerido. Uma pequena cidade norte-americana parece ser perfeita. Sua população está sempre feliz e os problemas nunca aparecem. Em Rockwell Falls, a vida encontrou o paraíso na Terra. Porém, quando um investigador federal é enviado ao lugar, ele descobre que o número da população não teve nenhuma alteração nos últimos cem anos, e aos poucos vai descobrindo os terríveis segredos que estão por traz dessa estagnação e da aparente perfeição da cidade. Quando menos espera, ele é envolvido em uma perigosa trama doentia em uma rede de fanatismo religioso e tradição puritana. Agora, preso nesse pesadelo, ele precisa encontrar uma forma de sair do local com vida.

Tamara Riley (Jenna Dewan) é o "patinho feio" numa escola de 2º grau. Ela detesta sua vida e seus colegas de classe, que a acham esquisita e, nutre uma paixão secreta pelo professor Bill Natolly (Matthew Marsden). Ele evita a tentativa de Tamara de se aproximar, pois ama a sua esposa, Alison (Claudette Mink). Paralelamente a isto, Tamara escreveu no jornal do colégio uma matéria sobre o uso de anabolizantes por alunos, que teriam a cumplicidade dos treinadores, que fariam vista grossa. Os alunos atingidos pela notícia passam a odiá-la ainda mais. Enquanto isso Tamara, que pratica bruxaria, quer fazer um feitiço para conquistar Natolly, mas as consequências são inimagináveis.

DeLong (Jean Smart) is on the verge of retiring from the FBI so that she can spend more time with her son, when a serial rapist and murderer attacks one of her best friends. As a single working mom, she feels torn between her child's needs and avenging her girlfriend. Things get more complicated when she has to work the case with her married lover (played by A Martinez). This top cop's decisions will put her life in serious danger. Hold on, it's going to be a suspenseful ride!
