Albi, Franz and Tayfun want little more in life than to ride their bikes, but things toughen up when they get unemployed.

During the Second World War, a small group of students at Munich University begin to question the decisions and sanity of Germany's Nazi government. The students form a resistance cell which they name the "White Rose" after a newsletter that is secretly distributed to the student body. At first small in numbers and fearful of discovery, the White Rose begins to gain massive support after a Nazi Gauleiter nearly incites a student riot after a provokative speech. At this point, the matter is taken over by the German Gestapo, who pledge to hunt down and destroy the members of the White Rose.

Sam Roffe, presidente de uma empresa farmacêutica multinacional, é morto enquanto praticava alpinismo. No início acham que é um acidente, mas depois o Inspetor Max Hornung deduz que Roffe foi assassinado. A filha de Sam, Elizabeth, assume o controle da empresa, e enquanto viaja através da Europa, ela logo se torna um alvo também. A suspeita recai sobre os primos Roffe, todos eles querem lançar na Bolsa ações da empresa e vender com um lucro enorme. Uma vez que isto vai contra a vontade do pai, Elizabeth rejeita seus conselhos e decide manter a empresa nas mãos da família. Enquanto o Inspetor Hornung investiga a fundo os primos, mais tentativas são feitas contra a vida de Elizabeth. Na esperança de revelar o culpado, Hormung é capaz de conectar essas tentativas a uma série de assassinatos de prostitutas, que são gravados em snuff filmes.
