The comedy “Ein fast perfekter Seitensprung” was not only successful, it was really well-done. The first sequel is, as most sequels, less attractive. As the charming mix of Germans and Austrians itself wasn't new and interesting any more, Schwabenitzky had to concentrate more on the less terrific elements. He emphasised the character-clichés and made up a more complex story, in order to bring down as many of the characters from the first film as possible. This sequel is only worth watching if you're a great fan of the first part. Actually, not even then.

Both Kurti and his mother are certain there are no legal heirs to the property. Great is their surprise when Ilona appears, who is the legal heiress coming from a remote part of Yugoslavia. Willi Schulze is a car mechanic. Together with Paul, who escaped from an orphanage, he runs a garage. During the testing of a car, Willi finds out the brakes aren't working that good. A fatal accident can just be prevented. He tries to hitchhike home and gets picked up by American election expert Willy Schneider. Together they also get an accident and both lose their memory. The police assumes Schulze is the election expert and rapidly he turns into the pivot in a stone-hard election-contest.
