Depois dessa super-corrida, o ritmo do filme cai um pouco e mostra os personagens vivendo suas vidas e se preocupando com o futuro, agora que o colegial está terminando. Paralelo a isso, surge um novo competidor querendo se vingar do Takumi e, lógico, nada melhor que desafiá-lo para um racha. Além disso, é mostrado um pouco do passado do Bunta, pai do Takumi.
