In Troumaron, an impoverished area of Port-Louis, the capital of Mauritius island, four youngsters tell us about their fight for their survival: Sadiq, the would-be poet, Eve, who prostituted herself as a child to obtain school materials, Clelio filled with his anger against the world, and Savita, 'the good girl' who wants to escape but finds all avenues are closed. Eve has a plan for her and Savita to get away. But it will go terribly awry, and its tragic consequences will lead them into a spiral of violence.

“Rocksteady: The Roots of Reggae” faz uma viagem no tempo, de volta à Jamaica dos anos 60, quando surge o estilo que faz a ponte entre o ska e o reggae. Hopetown Lewis “ilustra” a pegada daquele momento: “take it down, no need to hurry”. Ele explica que não conseguia acompanhar a velocidade do ska, portanto começou a cantar mais devagar, iniciando aquilo que viria a ser conhecido como rocksteady. O documentário registra o reencontro dos músicos — ainda vivos — que fizeram parte dessa história. Vários deles não se viam a mais de 40 anos. Eles se juntam para a re-gravação de sucessos da época e, entre uma canção e outra, relatam os acontecimentos daquele tempo. Ali podemos perceber uma Jamaica otimista pós-independência (1962), antes das drogas e do ganguismo aparecerem.

Dave is about to turn 30 and having his first mid-life crisis. A pretty successful DJ and record store owner, Dave is back with ex-girlfriend Sarah, but he isn't happy with his lot. In doubt about the relationship and mourning dreams he meets 20-year-old Alice, who embodies the temptation of youth. Is Dave too old for adventure or is he still young enough? Day at the Seaside is a sensitive portrait of an urban generation swaying between the freedom of youth and commitment of life.

After the second round of the 2004 presidential elections in Ukraine, millions of people went out on the streets. During this revolution, there was a genuine solidarity between people from different levels of the society, from the cities and the countryside. Although these people were brought up in a Soviet society where every protest against the authorities was a danger to one's life, they were so disappointed by what came after the collapse of the Soviet Union that they went out to the streets, faced the authorities and made the orange revolution possible. The film explores motives for taking part in the Ukrainian revolution, their view of the world, living-condition and hope for the future.
