Um dia, o jovem Adam comete suicídio. Seus amigos Chelsea, Allison, Derrick e Mike buscam razões para seu ato, e descobrem apenas que ele estava obcecado pelo jogo virtual Hellworld. O grupo se sente culpado por não ter ajudado quando Adam estava vulnerável, e decidem ir a uma festa organizada para os fãs de Hellworld, a fim de descobrir em que consiste o jogo. Mas a festa, dentro de uma grande mansão, transforma-se em um verdadeiro inferno.
