The Extra
Jimeoin, in the title role, plays a man fixated on the concept of celebrity, or more accurately, how he can become one. He is passionate about being a celebrity, but unfortunately he just isn't very talented. After trying to secure roles in myriad productions he finally finds employment as an extra, and what follows is his misadventures as he becomes involved with shady business men, producers and mobsters all of whom are fixated with show business.
Jimeoin explains his new DVD single, “Third Drawer Down is a song I wrote quite a few years ago. I did it once on the TV show “Jimeoin”, and from that it gained a bit of popularity. The live stand-up on this DVD is from a gig at the Tivoli Theatre in Brisbane, part of the “All Over The Shop” tour in 2003, which incidentally is different from the “All Over The Shop” DVD.
Burrito
Australian small-town cop Gary enjoys his nearly pastoral existence, with traffic violations providing the major excitement to his normally low-key days. While away from work, Gary spends a good deal of time fantasizing about local news reporter Julia, who would just as soon relocate to the thriving metropolis of Sydney. Soon, however, a motorcyclist is found decapitated, with a construction worker, a sailor, and a cowboy and Indian also meeting the same fate. With some murderous weirdo with some sort of Village People fixation terrorizing the town, Gary -- with the help of big-wig city detective and Don Johnson-wannabe Tony Charles -- begins to realize that a cop is the last remaining victim to be murdered in order for the killings to be complete. ...
On a warm night in June in the year of our Lord 2001, Jimeoin stepped on stage at The Gaiety Theatre in Dublin. He shouldn't have been there. They were expecting the Bay City Rollers, but no one seemed to notice. It rocked! I felt like I haven't written enough on the back for people to read ... so what else. Oh, a quick gag. This guy goes to the doctor, and says I've got a strawberry stuck up my bum. And the doctor says, oh, I've got some cream for that ... There you go, come and see me live!
