One day he gate-crashes a wedding ceremony and finds out that the groom is to live with his In-laws. To his delight, he finds out that the bride has an unmarried sister. And so Suraj starts to woo the unmarried sister, Geeta. Slowly Geeta falls in love with Suraj, and with the approval of her wealthy dad, Rai Bahadur Chunilal Sanghvi, both get married. Suraj now looks forward to an easy life at his In-laws, but that is not to be so, for Geeta wants to move out. Suraj goes along with Geeta, but then starts showing his true colors, and openly demands a share in his wealthy father-in-law's estate, even if it means taking the family to court.

Suraj (Dharmendra) his dad, and sister live in Uganda while their properties and business in India are managed by an employee named Kalicharan. When they are forced to leave Uganda, after political upheaval caused by General Idi Amin, Kalicharan fears they will find out he has invested their money in smuggling drugs and has their house set on fire. Suraj's father is killed and his sister is abducted. He is then recruited by the police to stop Kalicharan's smuggling activities which leads him to Europe. He meets Sudha (Hema Malini) a beautiful dancer, who has been blackmailed by Kalicharan, into helping smuggle the drugs. Suraj must try to find his sister, end the drug smuggling and take his revenge on Kalicharan. The question is will he able to accomplish this or will he himself fall prey to Charas.

Anoop loves Roopa D'Souza, and will do anything to marry her. But Roopa has some doubts about him. Eventually, he does manage to convince her that he is worthy of her love, and she consents. Geeta suspects Sunil is seeing someone else and even though Sunil says the truth to Geeta, she doesn't believe it and so starts a hilarious and twisted tale that engulfs three happily married couples.

Shankar (Manoj Kumar), his lovely wife Geeta (Nanda) and Deepak (Master Satyajeet) are a poor but happy family. Tragedy strikes one day, when Deepak wonders over to the railway tracks. When Geeta rushes in to warn and rescue him, she is run over by the train and is instantly killed. Deepak loses his vocal chords and cannot speak. Shankar takes Deepak to see a doctor (Raj Mehra), who examines Deepak, and tells Shankar that Deepak can recover his voice after a surgerical operation, which may cost around 1000 to 1500 rupees. Shankar is unable to afford this but is determined to find the money to cure his son. Shankar's mom (Kamini Kaushal), sister (Naaz), Khan Badshan (Prem Nath), Rani alias Raat ki Rani (Jaya Bhaduri) offer support. And Shankar takes part in a grueling tournament that puts his very life at risk.

Village born Lalloo re-locates to Bombay, and returns a wealthy man. He goes to meet his friend, Shankar alias Bhompu, and together they meet and share tales, mostly about women, sex, and playboy magazines' pictures. After meeting Urvashi, Shankar feigns a racking cough, and tells his family that he must go to Bombay, and seek medical treatment.
