Pensando na fortuna, ele se casa com a romântica e doce Sammarpreet e retorna para a sua cidade deixando a esposa com a família, com a promessa de voltar para buscá-la, só que isso não acontece. Depois de dias a espera do marido, Sammarpreet, sai a procura dele e descobre que o seu casamento foi uma farsa. Decepcionada e arrasada, ela conhece Shimmer, que descobre o cafajeste que o seu amigo é, e faz de tudo para Tej, se apaixone por Sammarpreet, sem saber que ela é a sua esposa.
