Pierre, as the Red Shadow, kidnaps Margot and declares his love for her.

Outcast is a 1928 silent film drama produced and distributed by First National Pictures. It was directed by William A. Seiter and stars Corinne Griffith, often considered one of the most beautiful women in film. This story had been filmed in 1917 as The World and the Woman with Jeanne Eagels. In 1922 a Paramount film of the same name with Elsie Ferguson reprising her stage role was released. Both films were based on a 1914 play, Outcast, by Hubert Henry Davies which starred Ferguson. The Seiter/Griffith film was an all silent with Vitaphone music and sound effects. In the sound era, the story was filmed once again as The Girl from 10th Avenue starring Bette Davis.

Chaos reigns in Louise Fazenda's kitchen as the cat stalks and consumes the bird in the cuckoo clock and the baby paints its face with jam. In her next job in a restaurant kitchen, Louise scrambles up her powder puff and her biscuits. The cook orders her to lighten them up. She blows them up like balloons, but they come out like rubber balls and so she is bounced out of that job. In her next position as housekeeper to a rich family, she throws a party for her friends when the family goes on vacation and they turn the house topsy-turvy.

She grows up with Camille, Madame Roger's son, a sickly, sexless creature, whom she ultimately marries in deference to her aunt's wishes.

Edgar's Wife
Hubby and wifey are in love, but he's henpecked by her mother. A nip of whiskey gives him Dutch courage, and he storms out, declaring he won't be a domestic slave anymore. He heads for a park bench where a photographer mistakes him for a seated woman's sweetheart. The tintype of the two of them falls into the hands of the woman's husband, whose jealous rage frightens our hero. He abruptly leaves town, telling wifey he'll be away on business. Wifey doesn't need her house while he's away, so, unknown to hubby, she moves in with mom and rents the house to the couple from the park. When our hero returns home sooner than expected, the renter has another attack of jealousy.
The Cashier
A swindle in a tiny downtown restaurant leads to a classic Keystone Cops finale. One and all have an easy time with the pretty and flirtatious cashier played by Louise Fazenda, who went on to great success as a character actress and married famed producer Hal B. Wallis in 1927. The Guest of Honor
It's love among the elite in this Keystone from 1915, in which normal-looking people in well-fitting clothes go through the same sort of hi-jinks that the hoi polloi do. It's a couple of minutes before the first weird mustache appears and it took me twice that to recognize that bright eyed, lanky girl with the snub nose as Louise Fazenda.

The proprietress
Ambrose's nasty temper gets him in trouble when he accidentally puts his boss's attractive daughter in danger.
King Ambrose chooses a queen from among the maidens of his kingdom. After they are married, Robin, a young man the queen had known earlier, attempts to steal her from her royal husband. Robin shoots arrows with notes attached and the queen initially runs away with him. The queen, however, rejects her former suitor in favor of the king after Ambrose saves her from a snake. Her rejected suitor plots with the jester to bomb the palace but their plot backfires.
The Wife
Mack Swain is making a dress for Louise Fazenda. He discovers his dressmaker's dummy requires his adjustment, so he pulls out his hatchet for the job. Through the window shade, onlookers -- including her husband -- see him as killing a woman.

Marksman Ambrose accidentally shoots a beer stein his wife has bought for him as a gift, so he tries to replace it.
On this certain afternoon in the year 2014, Mrs. Jones, and her daughter, stock brokers, advertise for a first-class stenographer. Charles Van Doren, a defenceless young man, striving to make a livelihood in the big city, and at the same time retain his good name, calls on Jones' daughter, and is at once accepted as the new stenographer. He has not been there long, however, when Mrs. Jones takes advantage of his innocence, and makes improper advances to him.
By deeds of valor both Mike and Jake seek to win the same girl.
Servant
Jake's wife fears he has made good his suicide threat after he has caught her making love to the Dude in his own home. During the last minute preparations for Jake's funeral, the mourners are suddenly surprised to find him sitting upright in their midst.
