Super Guitar Trio - Live At Montreux (1989)

Жанр : музыка

Краткое содержание

Super Guitar Trio brings together three legends of jazz guitar: Larry Coryell, Al Di Meola & Biréli Lagrène. These three virtuoso musicians have collaborated at various times in their career, but this concert from 1989 comes from the only tour they have done together as a trio. They perform a mixture of tracks from each of their solo repertoire plus special arrangements of some of their favorite tracks by other artists. For jazz musicians, playing at Montreux is always a highlight and the three guitarists are clearly inspired by playing together in the unique Montreux atmosphere.

Tom Waits - Burma Shave [Live Concert]
Singer/songwriter extraordinaire Tom Waits has become an American musical institution over the last few decades. His audience continues to grow, more artists cover his songs and he has risen from the basement filled with 'eccentric artists' to hugely influential cult hero status, and deservedly so. This 1978 Austin City Limits live performance features Waits casting his spell on an audience of believers and a handful of punters experiencing his magic for the first time. Features 'Bullets', 'On Nickel', 'Romeo Is Bleeding' plus a few spine-tingling medleys ('Small Change/Hey Big Spender', 'Silent Night/Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis') and more. Tom Waits: Romeo Bleeding - Live from Austin
Taped in 1978, Waits and his band of Herbert Hardesty, Arthur Richardson, John Thomassie and Greg Cohen were in Austin to support the release of Blue Valentine. We get a first-hand look as Waits transforms from more jazz-based compositions to bluesy grunts. There’s also a Christmas carol, Tom Waits style, as the singer-songwriter treats the audience to “Silent Night / Christmas Card From A Hooker In Minneapolis.”

Jethro Tull Their Fully Authorized Story
Fourth in the classic artists series: Jethro Tull, from being one of the hottest blues-rock bands of the late 60s to touring with Led Zep, to holding the record for the number of consecutive nights at the la forum, to the first live concert broadcast worldwide, to nearly bringing down the grammys, the life and times of legendary, indefinable rock band Jethro Tull has rarely been dull. Forty years, 2000 gigs, 19 albums, 25 members, 20 million sales & a sex change since a ramshackle group of spotty youths armed with nothing but a bunch of great tunes & a flute launched themselves onto an unsuspecting public at the marquee club in 1968, the key players in their long & illustrious history give for the first time, their side of a complex & intriguing story.
