Sathyam Sivam Sundaram is a Malayalam language film. It was released in 2000. The movie had Kunchacko Boban and Aswathi in the lead roles and Balachandra Menon, Harisree Ashokan, Cochin Haneefa, Machan Varghese, Jagathi Sreekumar etc. in the supporting roles.

The story follows Jayakanthan, son of Narendran, who comes from Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu to his parent's village Paruthippara in Kannur district, Kerala to reclaim his father's property.

Iringannoor Bharathan Pisharody, professor at the Sanskrit University, a very knowledgeable man with a keen interest in the Vedas, astrology and Kathakali, author of several critical works and winner of numerous awards, is the central character of Vadakkum Nathan. Meera (Padmapriya) is his student and murapennu. Both families have agreed to their wedding and a date has been fixed. But when the auspicious day dawns and the bride arrives at the mandapam the groom has disappeared. Years pass. No one knows Bharathan's whereabouts.Then one day his mother and younger brother on a pilgrimage to the holy shrines of Haridwar, Kedarnath, Rishikesh and Rudraprayag, meet Bharathan on the foothills of the Himalayas. From there unfolds the touching story of Vadakkum Nathan.

Ramji Tiwari and his sister, Parvati, had their parents pass away at an early age. Ramji is a skilled cook and is familiar with all aspects of vegetarian cooking. George Kutty is a hard working student, who graduated with top rank in college as an engineer. His family which was once rich is burdened in debt. His father meets with Chandi a marriage broker who proposes a match for Georgekutty with a rich family, but they would have to lie a little about their economic status. George Kutty resists first, but pressure from his dad who sees the marriage as a way to get money to payback the family debts, he agrees. Unfortunately the Itichen finds out the truth about the family and confronts them. He makes Georgekutty and his family agrees to certain terms for the wedding to take place including that Georgekutty and his wife have to stay in their house with them. After the wedding Georgekutty sees that he and visiting family and friends are disrespected and that he is controlled and held like a prisoner at Itechan's house. Georgekutty comes up with a plan to get back at his father in law which forms rest of the movie.
