This musical biography tells the story of the making of Deep Purple's classic album "Machine Head. In 1985, Dire Straits embarked on a world tour of unprecedented proportions. Promoting their hit album Brothers in Arms, the tour included a thirteen-night residence at Wembley Arena (featuring Eric Clapton helping out) and a brief jaunt at Live Aid (featuring Sting), before winding up in Australia in the Spring of 86. They ended with a 21-night stand at Sydney's Entertainment Center, packing the place every night, and wrapping it all up with one final show on April 26th. Featuring the one-off calypso version of "So Far Away" and an impromtu version of the Australian folk anthem "Walktzing Matilda" (with the whole stadium providing the vocals), it is truly a show for the ages. This show represents a band at their very finest, a band that has perfected the art of transitioning from structured verse/chorus parts to solos and back, bringing the audience along on an emotional and gorgeous journey for each and every song.

Albert Collins (October 1, 1932 - 24 November 1993) was a blues guitarist, singer and African-American musician. He had many nicknames, such as "The Ice Man", "The Master of the Telecaster" and "The Razor Blade". The film features Albert Collins on a Quebec Radio production for Canadian TV in 1983.

The music of legendary blues-based guitarists Albert Collins, Lonnie Mack and Roy Buchanan are featured in this film highlighting their historic December 6, 1985 concert at Carnegie Hall. Included are personality profiles on each musician and the story of what brought these three innovative bluesmen together in one live performance. Released by Barznton Productions in 1986, the video has a running time of 90 minutes.

On November 22, 1981, in the middle of their mammoth American tour, the Rolling Stones arrived in Chicago prior to playing 3 nights at the Rosemont Horizon. Long influenced by the Chicago blues, the band paid a visit to Muddy Waters' club the Checkerboard Lounge to see the legendary bluesman perform. It didn't take long before Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Ian Stewart were joining in on stage and later Buddy Guy and Lefty Dizz also played their part. It was a unique occasion that was fortunately captured on camera. Now restored from the original footage and with sound mixed and mastered by Bob Clearmountain, this amazing blues night is being made available in an official release for the first time.

On 19 March, 2009 Eric Clapton joined the Allman Brothers Band on stage at The Beacon Theatre in New York City for the first of two historic guest appearances. Other guests that evening were Susan Tedeschi and Danny Louis of Gov't Mule. This year marks the 20th Anniversary of Allman Brothers Band performances at the Beacon and the 40th Anniversary of their founding.
