Что происходит с нами после того, как мы умираем? Внятного ответа не даст никто. Тем более, что этот вопрос меньше всего интересовал нашего героя, Дэниэла Миллера, когда он вальяжно колесил по бульвару Лос-Анджелеса на своём новеньком «БМВ», слушая, как Барбара Стрейзанд поёт о том, что «что-то грядёт». И, надо заметить, что Стрейзанд не обманула бедолагу Миллера: этим «что-то» оказался автобус, после сокрушительного столкновения с которым, Дэниэл сразу отправился на тот свет. Но самое смешное, что проблемы героя ещё только начинались! Кто бы мог подумать, что на том свете, в Городе Страшного суда, где Дэниэлу предстоит основательное юридическое разбирательство за деяния прошлой жизни, герой встретит прекрасную женщину по имени Джулия, которая станет любовью всей его… смерти!
