Als ge mistroostig zijt en ge weet niet goed waarom. Als ge nog eens goed wilt lachen. Als ge van de wereld niet veel snapt, en van de mensen nog minder. Als ge niet krijgt wat ge vindt dat ge verdient omdat ze u niet zien staan, de idioten. Als ge op één hand kunt tellen de keren dat ge u het afgelopen jaar vrij hebt gevoeld en onbekommerd. Als ge de dingen kapot wilt slaan maar ge durft niet.

With his previous Dedication show, he won the 2008 `Holland's Hope' award. All eyes are so focused on Between the Lines, where Ronald Goedemondt explores the theme conformism. As a comedian, you could do that by means of a chronological story in which you deliver clear points and arguments. However, that he cannot. Ronald Goedemondt jumps, dives and parades both physically and verbally through his material, with a barking dog behind him called logic. You will laugh, given you're Dutch. Ronald Goedemondt's Between the Lines was nominated for the Poelifinario 2011 (VSCD Comedy Award for the theater(s) with the most impressive program of the season).

The bigger the audiences for Dutch comedian Micha Wertheim’s shows became, the less he had to do to make them laugh. In one early show, he suggested that the audience would be better off without him. So in 2016, he acted upon this suggestion with an experiment that made theater history: he wasn't physically present onstage but somewhere else. The audience wasn't aware of this in advance, though they did get a hint in the form of a pre-recorded "live" radio interview from a remote studio. "I see my audience as my children," Wertheim says in this interview. "You have to educate them, and that’s what I’ve been doing for the past 15 years. At first you have to constantly be there watching them, but there comes a time when you have to trust them to get on with it without you." With some help from a robot, a printer, a stereo and a set of headphones, the members of his audience were able to make their own performance.

Spek is de eerste avondvullende voorstelling van Ronald Goedemondt. Eerder speelde hij een driekwartierprogramma "De draak ontwaakt", in hetzelfde jaar dat hij het Cameretten Festival won (2003). En natuurlijk is hij een van de comedians van de Comedy Train. Daarnaast schreef hij voor 'Dit was het nieuws' en 'Spijkers met koppen'. In Spek belicht hij bekende verschijnselen uit de samenleving op een absurdistische en verongelijkte wijze waardoor hij met groot gemak de lachers op zijn hand krijgt. Hij toont zich daarmee een getalenteerd verteller, ondanks het hoge tempo waarop hij zijn woordensalvo's over zijn publiek uitstort. Een avond Ronald Goedemondt is een avond heel hard lachen en heel opgewekt het theater uitkomen. Het is dan ook zeker aan te raden om deze voorstelling nog te gaan bekijken. Op de dvd staan naast de show twee extra's. Een mooie, beeldende fotoreportage en een kijkje achter de schermen waarin we Ronald Goedemondt zien die zich voorbereidt op Spek.
