Безразличная к своим клиентам, она берет по доллару за письмо, и еще доллар, если просят его отправить. А отправляет она не все письма. 9-летний Жозуэ и его мать тоже пользуются услугами Доры. Они пишут отцу. Отца Жозуэ никогда не видел, но мечтает встретиться с ним. А однажды, когда погибает его мать, мальчик остается совсем один в огромном городе. У наблюдающей за бедным мальчиком Доры появляется мысль о возможной выгоде. И она решает найти его отца…

The documentary is titled after Arkadaş Z. Özger’s poem “Hello My Dear” which had caused much controversy in the period it was first published. Considered to be in defiance of heteronormativity, the said poem includes references to the poet’s personality, his family, his relationship to the society, and his “unexpected” death, which came three years after its publication. Today, 50 years after it was written, the documentary follows these same lines in the poem utilising cinematic elements. The documentary also rediscovers the poetics; reaches out to the family, the comrades, the friendships, departing from the official historical accounts, cognizant of his experience of otherness, in pursuit of the “lost” portrait of Arkadaş Z. Özger.

After the birth of his son and his wife's health complications, he decides to return to the road to ensure a better future for his son. He has a friend in Rio de Janeiro and with him leaves the little one and heads to Brazil. He didn't imagine that this distance between them would develop into a complicated relationship, enhanced by the strong personalities of both. Based on conversations between father and son, this is the story of Luiz Gonzaga, a singer and accordion player known as Rei do Baião or Gonzagão.
