Судебный пристав за долги опечатал его цирюльню, а сам Свирид Петрович пошёл занимать денег к ростовщику, ведь для аферы с женитьбой опять нужны деньги… Гуляя со своим другом на Владимирской горке, он увидел красивую девушку Галю и влюбился в неё. Однако он вынужден идти и вести Проню Прокоповну в иллюзион (синематограф). Друзьям же он похваляется, что женится на Проне только из-за денег, а сам заведёт роман с красавицей на стороне. Возвращаясь из иллюзиона он, случайно встретив Галю, преграждает ей путь, пытается поцеловать. В этот момент их застаёт мать Гали, Секлета. Секлета заставляет Свирида Петровича присягнуть на церковь, что он женится на Гале.

When new human tenants move into the apartment where the Crumden and Morton couples live, Ralph and Ned try to gain access to a banquet of food in the people's refrigerator, which is guarded by an orange cat.

Killer Diller and his gang are robbing every bank in town in numerical order (except the 13th National Bank, which they skip out of superstition). Despite their predictable actions, the police are unable to catch them...until they get a tip from an unlikely source.

In this spoof of "The Jack Benny Program", a mouse with Jack Benny's personality and poor violin playing ability lives, along with a mouse version of Benny's valet, Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson, in a hole in a wall of Jack Benny's own home. Jack the rodent takes a mouse version of 'Mary Livingstone (I)' out to dinner, and the two unwittingly walk right into the disguised mouth of an orange cat!
