Road movie in which a woman helps the Polish driver of a tourist bus waiting at the foot of the road, next to your disabled vehicle arrival of a replacement. Will hellish 14 days in which to find a stowaway who was traveling in the bus, and will meet truckers and law enforcement.

Pascual is a seventy-year-old man who lives in a small town in Spain. He owns an old house and a little store. He earns just enough to live. He can't get used to being old and lonely. To him this is rather difficult because he has not seen his daughter for years and he misses his wife, who died short after her daughter left home. Robert Beltran (Jaime Pujol), psychiatrist and expert on strict recipe for happiness, he is forced to leave his dull life to try to get his wife, which will break their beliefs and prejudices and become a vulnerable and much normal. His wife, Rita (Marta Calvo), left him for another man, an unrepentant seducer, compulsive liar, jealous sick patient and also of Robert, called Antonio (Antonio Garrido). Meanwhile, it has been in charge of his daughter, Pat, a spoiled teenager.

It is nighttime. In Croatia, a young woman cannot sleep because her baby keeps crying. Her mother-in-law is also being kept awake by the baby's crying and she is not shy about offering unwanted child-rearing advice to her daughter-in-law. In Spain, a young husband and wife are also wide awake in the dead of night: they are in the middle of a turbulent argument. She is Spanish, he is Croatian and their marriage is in crisis because they simply do not understand one another. Back in Croatia, the young man's elderly mother is also awake, plagued with indigestion pains. The old woman is also worried about her lodger, a young Spanish girl who happens to be the sister of the old woman's daughter-in-law in Spain. The young girl comes home with her new lover. He is a taxi driver who drifts aimlessly through the night while his own wife endures a sleepless night with a crying baby and a nagging mother-in-law.

Two inseparable friends, Pepe and Víctor, fall in love the same girl, Patricia. Bibiana, is a woman of career, who meets obliged to choose between the success and the maternity. Sandra, a faithful wife, finally dares to face the infidelity of his husband. Arturo, a homosexual neighbour, shelters a secret. Matilde doubts about the sexuality of her son. A reflection in key of comedy, on the life and his circumstances, where the hopes and dreams converge on a supermarket of neighborhood.

Vero has Downs Syndrome. Her mother blames her for her misfortunes, she wants to love her but unconsciously something is stopping her. So, Vero receives more affection from her brother Marcos. Veros integration into normal society comes from her passion for theatre and her participation in a theatre group made up of physically disabled people. To perform, she needs Marcos to recite to her some magic words that give her confidence. Marcos puts all his efforts into overcoming the difficulties that stand in her way while their mother fights to rebuild her life.
