A young, idealistic poet, turns his back on civilization and goes to small, backwood village, rents a bed in the house of an old woman, and decides to make his living as a lumberjack. Soon he realizes that the world around him is far from perfect.

The main character, nicknamed "Teddy Bear" by his friends and acquaintances, is a manager of a sports club in Poland. One day he is detained at the border just as his sport team is off to a tournament. It appears that somebody has torn out a few pages from his passport. It occurs to him that perhaps his ex-wife has done it in order to get her hands on their joint account in a London bank. Therefore, he has to get to London as soon as possible in order to transfer the money to a different bank. The solution is taking part in a movie, made by his friend. The script requires a double role, thus the search for another actor is announced. The double has to apply for the passport, and that is solved through a girlfriend who agrees to play the dope's new fiancée. At the engagement party he is slipped a drug, and Teddy Bear runs off to the airport with the false passport. On the plane, however, he meets his ex-wife...

Tadeusz Krzakoski (Krzysztof Kowalewski), the director of a failing state-owned company, is married with problems. His mistress, the daughter of a Communist party bigwig, says she's pregnant and Tadeusz knows he'll have to marry her to save his reputation and his job. But divorce is never simple and Bareja's screwball comedies are never boring.

40-year-old engineer Marek Kołodziejski comes to his hometown after fifteen years. He wants to take revenge on his friends who kicked him out of the band for appropriating the authorship of the project.

A young doctor from the lower classes is helped in his career by a rich woman. When he comes back from study in Paris he takes a job at a watering spa. He comes up against the owners when he tries to help the poor.

A pastor studying folklore in remote parts of 19th century Lithuania is invited to stay with a young nobleman. His mother is sequestered and mad. It seems she has been attacked by a bear as a young wife and local peasants whisper the young man may be the son of a bear. A doctor, who treats the mother with old-fashioned remedies, reveals this to the pastor. Young nobleman's wife is found with a bite and the man has disappeared into the woods.

University student Anna and her boyfriend Tomek use a precious photograph to trace and unveil the complex wartime and post-war past of their parents.

Советского летчика Миронова и польскую девушку Урсулу познакомила и разлучила война. Прошло семнадцать лет. Однажды из-за нелётной погоды самолёт Миронова задержался на несколько часов в Варшаве. Фильм состоит из трех весёлых новелл, объединенных единым местом действия – варшавским загсом. 1. Строитель Томек приезжает в Варшаву, чтобы жениться на молоденькой докторше Алине. Но девушка опаздывает в загс на собственную свадьбу, и молодые люди ссорятся, а их выяснение отношений приводит к «неожиданной» развязке. 2. Начинающий инженер Марек знакомится на молодежной вечеринке с красавицей Иоанной, приглашает её на свидание, но та отказывается. Марек в шутку предлагает Иоанне брак. Все, кто был на вечеринке, заключают пари, будет свадьба или нет... 3. Выпускники школы Кася и Тадек приезжают из захолустного Суйкова (где «совсем нет жизни») в Варшаву, чтобы немедленно пожениться. В загсе вчерашним школьникам отказывают по причине их несовершеннолетия. Тадек бросает Касю и возвращается домой, а упрямая и предприимчивая красотка Кася остается в Варшаве, чтобы найти работу и... подходящего мужа с квартирой и служебным положением.

16-летняя Крыся Ковальска после смерти своей матери приезжает в Варшаву, надеясь найти приют у дальних родственников. Но по известному девушке адресу ее предполагаемых опекунов найти не удается. Заботу о растерянной провинциалке берут на себя подвозивший ее таксист Флориан и его сосед по коммунальной квартире доктор Богдан. Выдав девушку за племянницу таксиста, они устраивают ее в выпускной класс варшавской школы и всячески помогают наивной Крысе привыкнуть к столичной жизни. Вскоре у девушки появляется кавалер – молодой моряк Юрек, который готов сделать ей предложение. Вот только молодой человек не подозревает, что сердце новоявленной варшавянки уже занято.

Сказка о двух злых и ленивых подростках, братьях-близнецах Яцеке и Плацеке, которые убежали из дома, чтобы похитить Луну, считая, что она золотая. Они и в самом деле попали в город, где все было сделано из чистого золота. Но люди там погибают от голода, мечтая лишь о куске простого хлеба. Пережив много приключений, братья возвращаются домой.

Фильм состоит из трех новелл: «На дороге», «Письмо из лагеря» и «Капля крови», которые повествуют о жизни и судьбе детей во время немецкой оккупации Польши.

Fram is in a German POW camp where brutal, cold-hearted Gestapo officers like Weber or Von Steinhagen terrorize and execute their Polish prisoners. One day Fram sees a way to escape the camp and he takes it, heading out to find his fellow resistance fighters.

An actress visits her hometown to attend the funeral of her grandfather. She realizes that the places and people from her past differ from her cherished memories.

The story takes place before World War II and centers on Pawel, a member of a conservative, middle-class family, and his love for Lidka, a taxi dancer. Social conventions and the lovers' inability to defy those forces Pawel and Lidka benefit. Times change, war breaks out, leading to Pawel sent to Auschwitz while Lidka marry his cousin. Their love has survived and conventions are no longer the issue.
