The movie is set in the actual "Ki Mit Tud?" talent contest in 1962. In reality the contest in dance music category was won by an army brass band. "Omega" which later became one of the most successful Hungarian rock bands came out in the second place.

Insulted when his screenwriter wife writes a leading role for a younger man, aging Broadway idol Fitz Wynn disguises himself as a handsome young Italian.

During World War II Carlotta, the circus owner maintains herself, her lover and her rather run-down circus-team by illegal man-smuggling. In the year of 1944, besides the usual refugees, she even has to take Professor Máté, the renown mathematician to the Yugoslavian partisans. The team is joined by Carlotta's psychotic son who has escaped from an asylum.

1934, Germany. The ten-year-old Peter lives in a small town with his parents. His father, an underground Communist, is arrested. In the summer vacation the kids from the neighbourhood fight in two teams, which prevail in turns. One team, led by Ewald, imitates the Nazis, while the other, headed by Fritz, follows his Communist father's example.

The film director starts shooting his film about the manager of a large corporation who committed suicide for mysterious reasons. As the cumbersome process of making a film goes along, everybody involved in it starts having differing opinions of the tragedy, its causes and its victim.

Эта самая история переплетается с постановкой мюзикла, автором которого является сын бухгалтера, поэтому музыки в фильме немало..

Kerekes (Antal Pager) believes he is wanted by the police when his friends play a practical joke in this unusual comedy drama. He returns to his hometown where he was accused of turning a Jewish druggist and the druggist's wife over to the Nazis. With his friends following him, Kerekes tries to find out what became of the couple after they were deported. After being subjected to a mock trial by his friends -- and found guilty -- Kerekes becomes despondent and attempts to kill himself. Flashbacks and hallucinations are employed to tell this story that occurs during the Eichmann trial. Both the film and Antal Pager gained some unwanted publicity when a Variety article from April 23rd, 1967 accused Pager of being a Nazi collaborator for his role in an anti-Semitic film during World War II.

When András, Albert and Bence are on a cycling tour around Lake Balaton, their dreams come true. Sunshine, beach and pretty girls. András and his younger brother run after the same girl, Eszter. András persuade his brother not to pinch the girl. András pick her up one night and split up with her next day. Eszter follows the boy, but András sends her away...

По одноименному рассказу венгерского писателя Иштвана Фекете о маленькой собачонке Боганч, которая помогла цирковому жонглеру Додо, потерявшему в себя веру и покинувшему манеж, вновь начать выступления в цирке.

Комедия «Тихая квартира» построена на несложном сюжете. По какой-то случайности двое молодых людей получают ордер на одну и ту же квартиру. Происходят острые конфликты, созаются самые неожиданные ситуации. А кончается всё женитьбой так странно познакомившихся молодых людей.

В форме сатирической сказки, где современная действительность причудливо переплетается со сказочным вымыслом, фильм критикует отдельные недостатки, еще имеющие место в жизни новой социалистической Венгрии.

Действие этой сатирической кинокомедии происходит в провинциальном венгерском городке, перед первой мировой войной. Не по средствам, на широкую ногу, живёт семья учителя гимназии Колтаи, который надеется на богатое наследство дядюшки Тамаша Гофмана, проживающего в Америке. Неожиданно весь городок узнаёт о приезде Гофмана, однако никто не догадывается о том, что за душой у него ни гроша…

Главный герой — футболист заводской команды — разрывается между любимым видом спорта и амурными делами. В конечном счете ему удается преуспеть на обоих фронтах.

Он хочет строить её около деревни, что не входит в планы графа. Пытаясь задобрить инженера, граф поселяет инженера в своем имении. Но инженер неподкупен! Тогда граф запрещает дочери, полюбившей инженера с первого взгляда, общаться с ним и планирует выдать её замуж за графа Элемери, который должен вернуться домой после пятнадцатилетнего отсутствия. Вот тут-то вступает в дело младший конюх Мишка, друг инженера. Переодевшись во фрак, он выдает себя за Элемери.

On 26th of August 1939 the Ocania1 steamboat leaves the New York harbour with the ex-spy Maria Holm on board. Now she is the owner of a dressmaker's showroom, but for just one last time is taking important documents to Europe for the sake of peace.

Gábor, a doctor, fights his own battle to improve the welfare and health of the village. In his fight he is assisted by sister Jolán, member of the green cross.

dr. Benedek Gábor, a famous solicitor in Eger, is the defense counsel of a murderer, who killed his wife out of jealousy. Gábor lives in a happy marriage with Anna. One day, however, Szentgyörgyi Péter, a famous pianist, comes to Eger. He once was loved by Anna, who in those days was training to become an artist herself. Gábor has no knowledge of these events of the past. He, therefore, associates the now renewed relationship with the story of the murderer he is the legal representative of.

It is a muster parade in Sarajevo in honour of Ferenc Ferdinánd. Polgár Éva and baron Várnay Miklós, her fiancé and a hussar captain, are preparing together for the event. In the meantime, the woman meets Borisz Boronow, a Russian painter. They fall in love with each other.

Two girls run away from a small village. Gyöngyi comes from an aristocratic family and her father throws her out of the house when he discovers she has gotten pregnant out of wedlock. She finds herself wandering the streets of Budapest and earns money playing the violin in a restaurant. Vica is an orphaned peasant; she is afraid of her stepfather and moves to the city where she gets a job on a construction site. Gyöngyi and Vica meet on the streets of Budapest, move in together and turn their lives around.

Set in Paris (which looks more like Budapest), the story concerns a murder investigation conducted by one Judge Henri Tessier. The audience is led to believe that Robert Petrovich, estranged husband of Tessier's sweetheart Marion, is responsible for the murder.

Another winner from Hungarian director Ivan Szekely (aka S.K. Seeley and Steve Sekely), A Nosty fiu Esete Toth Marival was released in English-speaking regions as I Married for Love. Feri Noszty (Paul Javor) is a handsome but irresponsible Hussar officer who prefers a life of wine, women and song to his military responsibilities. Unwilling to bow to family pressure, Feri refuses to marry heiress Mary Toth (Eva Szorenyi) for her dowry alone. But Mary falls in love with the prideful Feri, and to win his affections she poses as her own poverty-stricken maid. Based on a novel by Kalman Mikszath, A Noszty Fiu Esete Toth Marival was filmed simultaneously in Hungarian- and German-language versions.

In a post office at Balatonföldvár, Pali, a spoiled young man, one who has good manners and knows the way of the world, falls in love on one lazy summer afternoon with Teri, a young post office clerk and an orphan.
