Being surrounded by the dark political events in Kurdistan of Turkey at 1990’s as a child, Mirza cannot escape from being a victim of those devastating events that have been in existence for a long time. He is overclouded with deep misery and after his mother’s death, Mirza becomes a passive and introverted child who struggles with bad dreams. However, his life changes upon arrival of a guest named Mir Ahmed, with who develop friendship after Mir Ahmed’s persistent effort.
Khezr
A group of young people are trying to teach Kurdish in Turkish Kurdistan, a land where the teaching of the language is forbidden by Turkish authorities. Part of their work is to print clandestine schoolbooks in underground schools and distribute them. One of the girls in the group, Aseke, is killed on a mission and her friends decide to carry out the final request she made in her will. She had been brought up with a black horse, now in the remote Anatolian mountains, and her request is to bring the horse back so that they might meet one last time before she is buried. The arrival of the horse leads to some unexpected events.
Hevi
Being at death’s door, Seristan, an old woman in her eighties, wants her son to take her back to her homeland, with the last wish to be buried there. Her son, Mirza, is determined to keep his promise no matter what happens, thereby revealing an inconvenient truth about the roots of the family.
