This Christmas special breathes new life into some of Astrid Lindgren's beloved stories. Some, we've seen before, some we've never seen in animated form and some are completely new. Centering around a mysterious cuckoo clock, this film brings us into the worlds of Emil, Brenda Brave and Nils Karlsson Pyssling among others.

The teen Gullan and her friends discover that a young man, Perra, is hiding in a movie studio. He is innocently accused of smuggling. They decide to help him in the pursuit of the real smugglers.

The feeble-minded Sven's mother dies and he gets work as a farm-hand at the rich, affluent Höglund's farm. He has to work without pay and sleeps together with the cows. He meets the disabled Anna who is the first one to treat him as an adult. One day he has had enough of Höglund's maltreatment and moves in with Anna's family. Plot by Mattias Thuresson.

In 1944, Cederqvist comes to a small cloth factory to see how the all-women employees can work more efficiently. At the beginning he is greeted with suspicion and his efforts at courting the young ladies are futile. The children of Seacrow Island take a public ferry to visit a relative only to find that she has went to hospital. When they try to row back home they lose the oars and must take refuge on a desolate island. 4-year-old Skrallan is the first to discover that two colorful smugglers are hiding on the island.

Tjorven and the other children at Seacrow island have received a play day in a gift. Uncle Melker will find himself ending up in the lake several times. The kids also have found an old ship that will be named Albertina. They divide themselves into two pirate gangs and fights about the wishing stone Mysak.

The residents of Seacrow island get new problems when Malin and Peter get their first child - Skrallan.

Сальткрока - это утопающий в алых розах шиповника и белых гирляндах жасмина остров, где среди серых щербатых скал растут зеленые дубы и березки, цветы на лугу и густой кустарник.
