The film is dedicated to the struggles that lasted from June 24 to October 6, 1992, when the Banja Luka-Bijeljina corridor was liberated. Operation “Corridor” meant life for the population of both Krajinas – the supply of food, electricity and medicine was re-established.
A family of three reveals that none of them slept at more nights. A mother worried about her family's health tries to fight this mysterious insomnia, but every attempt is in vain. She begins to lose her sanity, and as she breaks down, so does her family. Secrets are revealed and further jeopardize their relationship. Can they get over them? Maybe one honest word is needed for everything.
Mirko, an average football player at the end of his career, is back in his hometown because of a knee injury. His family owns a restaurant which is on the verge of collapsing, both because of the economic unprofitability, and because of the plans of local criminals who are interested in the plot where the restaurant is located. One of those criminals is Slavko, Mirko's childhood friend, who suddenly returns to his life, just when Mirko needs him the most.
This comedy of the absurd is set in the Nazi puppet Independent State of Croatia (NDH) during World War II. The hero, Ljiljan is a young peasant poet who joins the Partisan movement just before it falls apart, abandoned by its leader Tito. The last remaining hope for resisting Nazism is to assassinate Hitler. Ljiljan’s task is to write a song that will allow his Partisan band to infiltrate the inner sanctum of the SS – by entering an SS talent show. If they win the competition, they will be invited to perform before Hitler and the NDH’s high command. This is a satirical coming-of-age tale with a difference, capturing the craziness, comedy and horror of war in the Balkans.
