The Milewskis are a middle-aged couple. Witold and Magda, both occupied with careers in managerial positions, create a solid, well-matched relationship. They have no children - this is Magda's decision, who preferred to pursue a career rather than take care of diapers. However, little remains of the bond they had at the beginning. Each Sunday, each of them cheats on their partner, and they both know nothing about it. Everything changes when Witold's younger brother Franek, a handsome geologist, shows up at their place.

When Stanislaw Czermien is wrongfully accused of rape and murder, he decides to exonerate himself and track down the real perpetrator. He suspects him to be his own brother, Witold.

Фильм состоит из трех весёлых новелл, объединенных единым местом действия – варшавским загсом. 1. Строитель Томек приезжает в Варшаву, чтобы жениться на молоденькой докторше Алине. Но девушка опаздывает в загс на собственную свадьбу, и молодые люди ссорятся, а их выяснение отношений приводит к «неожиданной» развязке. 2. Начинающий инженер Марек знакомится на молодежной вечеринке с красавицей Иоанной, приглашает её на свидание, но та отказывается. Марек в шутку предлагает Иоанне брак. Все, кто был на вечеринке, заключают пари, будет свадьба или нет... 3. Выпускники школы Кася и Тадек приезжают из захолустного Суйкова (где «совсем нет жизни») в Варшаву, чтобы немедленно пожениться. В загсе вчерашним школьникам отказывают по причине их несовершеннолетия. Тадек бросает Касю и возвращается домой, а упрямая и предприимчивая красотка Кася остается в Варшаве, чтобы найти работу и... подходящего мужа с квартирой и служебным положением.

Lieutenant Mosura fights the groups of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. Suddenly, he manages to capture and eliminate its commander. Several years passed. The lieutenant is accused of collaborating with the insurgents, because he took part in several terrorist operations in order to gain their trust.

Film inspired by true events. Roman Jacenko, a small village local photographer, lives in a shabby garret, which serves also as his lab and studio. He loves Beata, nice clerk in a nearby bank. Having often observed established procedures of money transport to and from the bank, and having received some information unawarely revealed by Beata, he decided to rob the car with cash.

Sampson is one of several Andrzej Wajda films harking back to his youth during the Nazi Occupation of Poland. Many of these concern not only the struggle between good and evil, but also between passive and impassive. The hero is a Jewish youth. He, like his family, has always been silent and undemonstrative in the face of prejudice. Now he stands up for his right to survive, and in so doing represents the fighting spirit that culminated in the 1943 Warsaw Uprising. It was originally titled Samson, but re-spelled as Sampson upon its American release to avoid confusion with a sword-and-sandal epic of the same name.

Последние дни войны. Отставной машинист Вальчак и его случайный помощник ведут поезд с амуницией на фронт. Едут через местности, на которых рыскают недобитки немецкой армии, гитлеровские диверсанты и мародеры. Погибает парень и все солдаты, конвоирующие транспорт, но машинист приводит поезд к месту назначения.
