As every year, the celebration of All Saints Day brings Polish families together at the graves of their loved ones. On this special day Maria, 80-year-old widow, visits the graveyard with her son, his wife and their children.

Brilliantly funny comedy finds humor in what was otherwise a terrifying time, the outbreak of Martial Law in Poland in 1981.

The main character is Bogna, a thirty year old woman lost in her surrounding reality and unhappy in her private life. After her husband departs for a foreign scholarship, Bogna learns that her mother died. The trip to her hometown for the funeral becomes a voyage in time, during which she relives the memories of her idyllic childhood.

Karol has everything. He has three mistresses in addition to the bride. He is charming, loves sex and enslaves women in the blink of an eye. He's also well aware of that women like and uses it for his benefits.

Set at the end of the XIX-th century. Madame Dulska is the sole and absolute ruler of her house in Cracow. She is ruthless, greedy and oversensitive of the reputation of her family. To protect his son from temptations she overlooks the affair he is having with the maid. Young Dulski first wants to marry the girl, but then yields to his mother demands and turns his interest to a cousin. Everything returns to normal: his father has his habitaul visits to a brothel, his son to a cabaret and Madame Dulska safeguards her reign.

The film is a cinema version of the popular TV series of the same title.

16-летняя Крыся Ковальска после смерти своей матери приезжает в Варшаву, надеясь найти приют у дальних родственников. Но по известному девушке адресу ее предполагаемых опекунов найти не удается. Заботу о растерянной провинциалке берут на себя подвозивший ее таксист Флориан и его сосед по коммунальной квартире доктор Богдан. Выдав девушку за племянницу таксиста, они устраивают ее в выпускной класс варшавской школы и всячески помогают наивной Крысе привыкнуть к столичной жизни. Вскоре у девушки появляется кавалер – молодой моряк Юрек, который готов сделать ей предложение. Вот только молодой человек не подозревает, что сердце новоявленной варшавянки уже занято.

Five short stories.

Sampson is one of several Andrzej Wajda films harking back to his youth during the Nazi Occupation of Poland. Many of these concern not only the struggle between good and evil, but also between passive and impassive. The hero is a Jewish youth. He, like his family, has always been silent and undemonstrative in the face of prejudice. Now he stands up for his right to survive, and in so doing represents the fighting spirit that culminated in the 1943 Warsaw Uprising. It was originally titled Samson, but re-spelled as Sampson upon its American release to avoid confusion with a sword-and-sandal epic of the same name.

Fram is in a German POW camp where brutal, cold-hearted Gestapo officers like Weber or Von Steinhagen terrorize and execute their Polish prisoners. One day Fram sees a way to escape the camp and he takes it, heading out to find his fellow resistance fighters.

Этот план вызывает интерес у жильцов дома, все начинают искать, "сокровище" , отмеченное в плане..

1942 год. Оккупированная нацистами Польша. В концлагере на плацу идёт построение заключённых. Измождённые этой пыткой женщины не выдерживают бессмысленное и многочасовое стояние в грязи. Одна из узниц, беременная женщина, падает. Её спасают, а русский доктор Татьяна принимает в женском бараке роды. Но безжалостные порядки требуют, чтобы все рождённые в концлагере младенцы были умерщвлены. И укол врача-садиста уносит жизнь новорождённого. В лагерь, тем временем, привозят новую партию заключённых, в числе которых — молодая еврейка Марта Вайс и члены её семьи.
