Pelops (Nikos Tsouka), after the appearance of the deceased brother and he has discovered a method of preparing gasoline, desperately trying to find the missing ingredient to complete the formulation. When she learns that her fiancé has played their wedding rings in gambling, Despina leaves him. He will buy the wedding rings again and visit her to rebuild them, but he will find four men in her house and he will be distracted. Despina will get involved in many misunderstandings until she can find her again with her beloved.

Thanasis, a family breadwinner who has been working for 17 years at the Ministry of Measure and Station without any promotion, is trying to cover his expenses by doing a second job. When he learns that he can not be promoted because he does not own a high school diploma, he decides to go back to school.

A conscientious tanker driver, Thanasis Papathanasis, works hard to help his sister Afroditi study medicine. He believes that in this way he will be able to marry her off so that then he can finally marry Eleni, whom he has loved for years. The movie is about dictatorships in Greece – first, the Metaxas regime (1936-1940), and then the Colonels’ Junta (1967-74). In Part One, the Metaxas regime is depicted as a circus, where Thanasis (Thanasis Vengos) is a clown trying to conceal a young colleague’s subversive action. In Part Two, we see Thanasis suffer because of his honesty and kindness, in a country where the system’s irrationality is clearly evident.

Thanasis Zevedaios (Thanasis Vengos) has a shop with watches and running but not enough! Time and the clocks have become obsessed after running nonstop in an effort to nourish their relatives. The 'philosopher' brother dies and leaves another four mouths under his protection. A tough sailor, Fotis, returns to Greece to marry his beloved and to settle certain inheritance issues with his twin brother Fifis, who is an effeminate artist. Their striking resemblance will upset the lives of both of them equally.

A simple typewriter is familiar with a garage-facing young man, who is recommended to be a big business man. The same is done by her, presenting the daughter of his boss industrialist. In the end, however, all is corrected, misunderstandings are overlooked and the poor typist marries the poor garage.
