The film revolves around two main characters are the Lam (Ngan Khanh) and Thố (Duc Thinh). They have nothing in common but ironic fate binds them together. Lam is a lady with successful career, happily living with Vinh (Dung Ha). One day, her perfect life was muddled because of the arrival of Ma Dai, a strange ghost. To get rid of him, Lam must help him complete the unfinished wishes, leading to many unfortunate situations.

Linh, the recipient of a heart transplant, begins having nightmares and visions leading to a house in the remote countryside. She begins to believe that the previous owner of the heart, a former resident of the house, wants her to uncover the secrets of her death.

Typically you know what you are getting into when you go see a movie billed as "romantic comedy." And often they lack romance or comedy and sometimes both. Not to mention that the simplicity of the characters often make the movie very predictable. That said, romantic comedies often don't work overall and viewers are left with a few good moments here or there. All that is said to explain what you won't find in "Fool For Love." That is because the two main characters, in particular Dustin Nguyen's character "Dung" have a complexity to them that creates a real life foundation from which the romance and comedy can be built.

The film is about a Vietnamese expatriate who spends his two-week vacation visiting his home country which has undergone remarkable economic reforms. His journey to discover his home country and reestablish his roots is met with obstacles that change his life.
