It is the summer of 1968 and also in South Moravian Pálavice appear political clashes. The so far peacefully farming Unified farmers' cooperative starts splitting. Some of the farmers have found the cooperative called Vidrupa and want to deal with wine in private trade. Michal Janák, chairman of the farmers' cooperative is a deliberate man and refuses the latent return to the capitalism. As an excellent farmer he continues preparing planting out new vineyards. His adversaries do not agree - the returns will come many years later. Jozka Hrdlicka, an émigré, notices on the Austrian TV the interview with the representatives of Vidrupa and decides to visit his native village. The new suit and the hired car transform the bankrupt and criminal to the successful businessman with wine.

Adolf (Miloš Kopecký), the irresistible seducer of women, is fond of Janicka (Hana Lelitová), a novice opera singer. The girl, however, prefers famous men and Adolf thus does not have a single chance with her. One day in a hospital, he meets a Greek partisan named Apostolek (Pavel Landovský) who impresses him with his spontaneity and ease in solving all problems, especially those with women. Adolf has an idea for a revenge. He makes Apostolek familiar with social manners, dresses him after the latest fashion and introduces him to Janicka as a Greek conductor. Janicka instantly falls in love with the made-up composer and Apostolek does no better.

In the village cemetery, the funeral of a married couple - victims of a car crash - is ending. The relatives unscrupulously take away the facilities of the dead people's little cottage, totally ignorant of the fate of eight-year old Ruda, whom the childless couple took from a children's home and adopted. Fortunately, an elderly lonesome uncle named Tony remains in the empty cottage and decides to take care of the boy, nicknamed Münchie after Baron Münchhausen for his wild imagination.

Even in the "enlightened" 60. years filmmakers like to play spies. In the grand-world environment, Luxury hotel in Karlovy Vary the sophisticated charade unfolds, in which several foreign agents interested in the famous Austrian scientist, the discoverer of the artificial protein. Endangered man fortunately never notice danger around him. His protection was entrusted to the mysterious madame Elizabeth, amongst agents famed as the ' 006, in fact, working for the State security... As a parody, perhaps the movie succeeded, but hardly convincing anyone - and this is despite scriptwriting participation of the renowned Jan Procházka.

1944 год. Оккупированная фашистами Богемия. На маленькой железнодорожной станции начинает работать молодой паренек Милош Хрма. Партизаны дают о себе знать все чаще и чаще, и немецкое командование отдает приказ взять под особое наблюдение все поезда, идущие в сторону фронта…

Three short story omnibus. The main hero and connecting link is Lieutenant Boruvka, created by Lubomír Lipsky. He deals with the murder case between climbers, the death of the dancer in the music theater and the strange disappearance of the mathematics professor.

The story is about Harold, an isolated figure in an overwhelming world of totalitarian bureaucracy. Harold tries to find the elusive Joseph Kilian, an old acquaintance, in Prague. When Harold stumbles across a state-run cat-lending store, he impulsively rents a feline for the day. Later, he attempts to return the cat and finds that the store no longer exists. Now with a furry companion, Harold continues his search for Kilian. Written and directed by Pavel Juracek, this 40 minute film effectively aims its allegorical shots at personality cults and the absurdities of a totalitarian regime.

О разоблачении крупной банды грабителей работниками милиции Чехословакии.

Действие происходит в современной чешской деревне. Гордый собственным достоинством и стремлением поднять престиж сельскохозяйственного кооператива, Лойза подсмеивается над теми, кто плохо разбирается в сельском хозяйстве, и стыдит тех, кто еще не вступил в кооператив. Он совершает по отношению к ним ряд озорных проделок, чем вызывает их обоснованные жалобы председателю кооператива. Именно поэтому последний считает Лойзу легкомысленным юношей. Но, присмотревшись к Лойзе, председатель понимает, что ошибся. Лойза изобретателен, энергичен, трудолюбив и пользуется авторитетом у молодежи. Председатель назначает Лойзу бригадиром молодежной бригады, занятой осушением болот.

Психологическая драма, описывающая сложные отношения девушки и ее пожилого отца, неосмотрительно вмешивающегося в ее проблемы с женихом.

Героиня фильма Ганка - выпускница школы медицинских сестер. Она должна поехать работать в провинцию. Но как же быть, если в Праге живет ее любимый, молодой рабочий Ото? Их любовь взаимна. Но помимо радостей любви нужно еще иметь крышу над головой. Родители Ото не желают и слышать о его женитьбе. Если же Ото не женится на Ганке, то ее пошлют в провинцию. Оба они привыкли к пражской жизни: кафе, концерты, театры, приятели и приятельницы, как все это бросить? Но в конце фильма молодые люди убеждаются, что Прага - не единственное место, где можно быть счастливыми. Они уезжают работать в провинцию.

При попытке покинуть Чехословакию убит человек. При нем обнаружено полтора килограмма золота- не в монетах, не в ювелирных изделиях, не в слитках- а в виде пластинок, употребляемых для изготовления зубов...
