This patriotic Bengali movie by Nasiruddin Yusuf, based on Shahriar Kabir's story, depicts a pastor's involvement in the Independence war.

Choritrohin (Bengali: চরিত্রহীন;English: Characterless) is a 1975 Bangladeshi film directed by Baby Islam. It stars Meena Kumari and Prabir Mitra. It garnered Bangladesh National Film Awards in two categories: Best Music Direction and Best Cinematographer.

Four men, each peculiar in his own way, embark on a quest to reason with the estranged wife of the protagonist. This film is considered to be Ghatak's autobiographical film.

В рыбацкой деревушке на берегу реки живет девочка Басанти. Она готовится к ритуалу Maghmandal, означающий окончание зимы и переход её в зрелый возраст. Alam (Anowar Hussain), a young man from a rural background, is forced to leave his family just after the marriage when his wife Luchi (Rosy Samad) feels uncomfortable at his poor home. This makes his father go for earning even at the old age, his lame brother is forced to sell newspapers on the streets, and eventually his younger sister (Sujata) is forced to marry a mentally-challenged person, sacrificing her true love for Kabir (Abdur Razzak), who is again Alam's brother-in-law, to cover up the loan once taken by his father from a village landlord.
