Born in Taiwan, FU Tien-yu is a writer and director. She completed her master’s degree in Media Ecology and Film from New York University. Starting the career as a novelist, she has won several prestigious literary awards before turning to filmmaking. Her films include Somewhere I Have Never Travelled (2009) and The Happy Life of Debbie (2012).
