Moldova in the early 90s: Dima, a tractor driver, wants to be enrolled in the military troops to take part in the local war on the Transnistrian border. Vasea, an Afghan war veteran, joins him. While on their way to the front, they find a carbonized body. The authorities ignore them and won't help them to identify the body. Dima and Vasea decide to bury the corpse according to the proper Christian rituals, but not before setting out, together with the body, on an absurd journey to discover his identity.

К полной неожиданности для Тома, который только-только начал ощущать вкус к роли «настоящего мужчины».

After two years spent as a student in Boston, a 22-year-old visits his native Moldova. It is April 2009. People gather in the streets of Chisinau, the call having spread through social networking sites. They are demonstrating against the communist authorities who falsified the election results. They seize and plunder the parliament and presidential buildings. The demonstrators carry away documents, furniture and office equipment. Our protagonist is coming from a friend's home carrying his own computer monitor. He is mistaken for a demonstrator, brutally beaten up by the police and taken to the police station. His interrogator is an experienced major. The authorities can do anything. Based on real events, the film asks questions about freedom, justice and the price of human life.

Three heavy boozers - a Romanian, a Russian and a Bulgarian - are tripling away their... happiness, into vodka, at "The Happy Immigrant", a joint kept by a Turk. The fauna of this venue is made up out of the Babel Tower's survivors: immigrants who had chosen Romania, as a country where everything is possible. The predictions included... A police raid chases away the pub's barflies. The three professional boozers stop from running just in front of a fortune teller expert in a niche field: death prediction. The rest is entertainment! Although we are all indebted to one death, some refuse to pay this debt. They don't want to die when it was written for them. Or just predicted...

Расписавшись в Румынии, пара молодоженов — дирижер из Бухареста и пианистка из Кишинева — вынуждены сыграть еще одну свадьбу, на сей раз в Молдове. Таким образом они рассчитывают собрать у родственников невесты деньги для первого взноса по ипотечному кредиту. Эта свадьба становится настоящим соревнованием между родственниками жениха и невесты, ситуация осложняется еще и разницей в понимании свадебных обрядов. И хотя Владу и Вике чужды исторические и политические мотивы этой вражды на почве обычаев, они невольно становятся пленниками своеобразного выяснения отношений, больше похожего на футбольный матч между сборными Молдовы и Румынии. В ходе этого противостояния выявляется целый ряд различий в их мышлении, культуре, политических взглядах.
