Jeng Tut
Ca Bau Kan relates the saga of Giok Lan, an Indonesian woman living in the Netherlands, who returns to Indonesia in search of her roots. Her mother, Tinung, a village woman, was known as ‘Ca Bau Kan’ – a word used to describe a courtesan who entertained Chinese men in colonial Indonesia. Giok Lan’s father, Tan Peng Liang (Ferry Salim), was an immigrant Chinese merchant who had a very successful tobacco business in Batavia. She becomes deeply involved with him, and causes a scandal when he has Tinung move in with his family. The film is set between 1930 and 1950, and unfolds the story of Giok Lan and her parents: Tinung and Tan Peng Liang where Tan is eventually ruined when his rivals begin to attack him. This is owing to the significant contrast in socio-economic and cultural background, as the love of these last two characters face a series of difficulties.
Agnes appears to be out of control. Her father is seldom at home while her stepmother is afraid of her. At school, she dares to confront teachers whom she considers as no good. A young teacher, Wing Ganda, tries to understand her and shows her how to use her talent. His effort is fruitful but Agnes falls in love with him. Wing tries to avoid her. When another young man attempts to approach Agnes, she makes a fool out of him. Agnes has to deal with the fact that she cannot conquer everything. Wing is unconquerable and her stepmother secretly cares about her very much. This was one of the more insightful teenage films that understood teenage psychology and was also optmistic in a realistic way.
Yuni
Wamena is a businessman and widower who has a daughter, Narita. His secretary, Yuni, tries to marry Wamena and also tries to match Narita to Toni, who is actually Yuni’s boyfriend. Together, they plan to seize Wamena’s wealth. Alas, Narita already has a boyfriend, Arman, a poor young man. Yuni tries to manipulate the relationship by sending a fake wedding invitation. This causes Wamena a heart attack, which kills him. Narita is also against her father’s relationship with Yuni, so she storms out and leaves. Then Arman marries Narita and becomes the director of the company. Yuni and Toni resign from the company. Then Yuni tries to trick Arman by sending a pretty woman to seduce him and then takes a photo of them together. With this photo, she manages to trap Arman.

After a while, Pendi and Melani get married. But the children of Melani do not like Ira. Finally, the conflict with the children is solved through a theatrical play by Ira, as the play’s story reflects the events that are happening in their home.
Somad and Biang Terona are sent by their master at Krakatau martial arts school to look for the rebellious student, Bodin, who is Somad’s real father. Bodin manages to marry the wife of a landlord and takes over the wealth but he becomes a dictator. His son, Tirta, also manages to displace Surya as inheritor of Bodin’s wealth. Surya is the son of Tirta’s mother with her previous husband. Finally, Biang Terona defeats Bodin, and Somad reveals that Bodin is his father. The film ends with the eruption of the Krakatau Volcano.

Narno's mother then visits a shaman to place a curse on one of Tina's potential suitors. Seven years later, Aqilla finds out that her son, Baskara (@faqih_alaydruss), is still alive. Agilla tries to get her child back, but on the other hand she cannot bear to take away the small happiness of Arif and Yumna's family. Meanwhile Arif and Yumna also cannot afford to lose Baskara, but they I also feel guilty for taking away Aqilla's only happiness.
