Naoto Ihara lives happily with his wife Miyuki and their son Haruto. Their happiness is crushed when Miyuki suddenly dies in a car accident. Naoto falls into deep grief over the death of his wife. Meanwhile, Naruto buries his dead mother Miyuki's finger in their garden and prays everyday for her to come back to life. The family is visited by video director Hiroko Kurasawa, who used to work with Naoto Ihara. There she sees Haruto shouting a strange spell in their yard. Unexpected and bizarre phenomenons soon take place around Hiroko Kurasawa.

As a reporter at a weekly magazine, Satoshi Onoe takes pride in his ability to write well and report ethically. But when the stakeout teams are shuffled around in light of a new investigation, Onoe ends up being paired up with the one and only Motoharu Kaburagi, an ill-mannered photographer who spells nothing but trouble. This story takes place about 2 and half years after their first encounter. Kijima moved from Tokyo to his parents' house where his sister and her husband live, and Kuzumi, who was a university student, got a job and works in Tokyo as a member of society The two, who had only communicated by letters, reunited in the countryside where Kijima lives.

Set in 1980s Japan, two students transfer into the same school on the same day and become a duo fighting delinquents.

Kuzumi doesn't have insurance or money to pay Kijima for his injury. Kijima then asks Kuzumi to transcribe a story he is writing. Kuzumi is surprised to learn the story is obscene.
