Her father forbid her to have anything to do with him, unless she could prove he was worthy as a man and as a car salesman. He then calls her saying he is in jail for driving wrecklessly, and she rushes over.

Wealthy Cynthia is in love with not-so-wealthy Roger, who is married to Marcia.
