"Takut" was born from the Komodo Films, and is a compilation of short horror films from seven directors who produced six film segments in one anthology. The short film was directed sequentially by Rako Prijanto, Riri Riza, Ray Nayoan, Robby Ertanto, Raditya Sidharta, and The Mo Brothers (Kimo Stamboel & Timo Tjahjanto).
Shanaz (Poppy Sovia), 17 years old, becomes a rebellious teen since her father passed away. She feels guilty for his death. She and her mother never get along quite well, and it reaches its worst when her mom told her that she will remarry. Shanaz feels that her mom betrays her late father. She decided to run away from home and go to Jogja to see her boyfriend, Mika (Marcel Anthony). Stranded all alone in Yogya she finds that Mika goes to climb a mountain, unreachable by phone. Shanaz accidentaly is lost in the low class prostitution in Jogja. Luckily there’s Ningsih (Dinna Olivia), a prostitute who has simpathy for her.
This film dwells with Alit's last day in San Francisco. After five years of study, he is finally returning home to Indonesia, to the arm of his beloved mother. At the same time, Alit realizes that this is his last chance to woo Tasya, his housemate, Bima, ex-girlfriend. However, destiny has something else in mind. On this day, starting from 6:30 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. the next morning, they (Alit, Tasya, and Bima) will find out the true meaning of friendship and the choices that they will have to make along the way.

A spirit is haunting them and Rea tries to find a way to get rid of it. They go to see a paranormal, and they are told that the only way to get rid of the spirit is by pulling up a jelangkung doll that is planted one year ago in Angker Batu.
