Dolores
Poirot investigates the brutal murder of an American heiress and the theft of a fabulous ruby on the Blue Train between Calais and Nice. After traveling on the Blue Train from Calais to Nice, Hercule Poirot is pressed into service to help solve the murder of heiress Ruth Kettering who is found savagely beaten in her compartment. She was the daughter of wealthy industrialist Rufus Van Alden and very much wanted a divorce. Both her husband and her lover were on the train but she had changed rooms with another passenger, Katherine Grey, so the question naturally arises as to whether she was the intended victim. Grey may also have had enemies as she had recently inherited a very large sum of money and greedy relatives had suddenly taken an interest in her. When an attempt is subsequently made on Grey's life, this appears to the case but Poirot methodically sifts through all of the clues to determine the motive and identify the killer.
Pulcheria
This is the story of Rodya Raskalnikov (Patrick Dempsey), an intellectual who is suspended from University and is living in poverty in 19th century Russia. Raskalnikov believes that in order for great men like Napoleon to accomplish great things, they must be above the law.
Rahela
The plot takes place in pre-war Yugoslavia, and the protagonist, interpreted by Zvonko Lepetic, is Jefto, a prison guard who lives with his family as a tenant in a basement. The plot shows how, convinced that he is destined for great things, he betrays his family, a friend and subordinates everything to his vanity.

A story about a painter, an unconventional university professor, who has to deal with being haunted by his trouble past during the 2nd World War, while at the same time trying to cope with his university colleagues plotting against him.
A boy's careless childhood is interrupted when he finds out about his parents' decision to divorce.

Two friends dream of what they will do when they become adults. One friend dreams of travelling to far off places, but stays at home. The other one leaves and sends him postcards from exotic locations, with descriptions of impossible adventures. But, his friend at home engages in a passionate love affair with his beautiful young landlady. When his friend-the traveller returns he admits he may have exaggerated about some of his adventure stories.. The two friends continue on dreaming of new excitements.
