Dance of Calabash - Exu in Brazil is an poetic investigation on the African divinity Exu in the brazilian imaginary. Alongside other Yoruba Gods, Exu was brought to Brazil by the slaves and became demonized during the colonial period, when catholic missions in Africa and in Brazil concealed its original attributes. In Africa, Exu was viewed as the beginning of life, the force that moved bodies, the lord of the paths and cross-roads. It was the main link between the dead and the gods. For the Christians, it became the personification of evil, due to its falic symbol and astute behaviour. Directed by Kiko Dinucci, the movie investigates the different African-brazilian religions, such as candomblé (Nagô, Gege and Bantu traditions), Tambor de Mina, Umbanda and Quimbanda. Special appearances of priests, clergyman and scholars.

A journalist Lorena and her friend photographer Raul decide to try to take an interview from influential politician Hermenegildo Parra. After several unsuccessful attempts they decide to break into his house and make some photos there but when they enter his cabinet they see him stabbed with the knife. The next day the newspaper announces his death and start to celebrate a big amount of sold copies but during the fiesta a phone calls and it was Mr.Parra "alive and kicking". After this scandal Lorena becomes pursued by some mysterious killers who want to take the negatives from her at any price. The solution of this mystery is very unexpected...

Rafael Inclan plays the campy hero in the Mexican By Hook or Crook. Known as the "Super-Mexican", detective Inclan is in his own way as dangerous as France's Inspector Clouseau. A series of murders have occured in the uppermost circles of society. Inclan vows to solve the killings, or die trying (which is a strong possibility). There's a belly-laugh a minute in this silly confection, which since its 1985 release has popped up with regularity on the various Spanish-language TV cable services.
