The movie follows the story of cousins Anay, Shweta, Annaya and Virajas, the youngest generation of the rich and powerful Rajwade family. They each wish to follow they own dreams, but their grandfather, the head of the family, has other plans for them. Each will have to fight, argue, and question the foundations of the joint family if they want to live their dreams. Rajwade and Sons is the story of a happy joint family who want to find a way to stay together, in the ever-changing modern times.

The film is about two childhood friends Abhi and Tuli (played by Indraneil Sengupta and Koel Mullick) and begins on a very promising note. They are the ‘bestest of friends’, closer than anyone can hope to be, but Abhi does fall in love with Tuli over a period of time which she doesn’t realise and confesses his feelings to her when she comes to town for the pujas after 3 long years. However for her , Abhi can only be her closest friend and confidante who is more than a soul mate to her but can’t be her boyfriend as she just can’t think of him in that way.
