Кати сбегает из-под венца, не желая брака с престарелым женихом. Она хочет разыскать бравого солдата Димитриса, в которого когда-то влюбилась с первого взгляда. В это же время сам Димитрис отправляется в самоволку, чтобы встретиться с Кати. Но поскольку направляются друг к другу они в совершенно разных направлениях, то до счастливой встречи им предстоит пережить немало забавных приключений. The film, with many scenes shot on location, constitutes a precious document as it exquisitely captures some of the most important landmarks of Athens and its outskirts, as well as daily life in the 1930s. synchronise moving images with a sound-ondisc system in Greece, using a semiimprovised setup according to press coverage of the time.
