У девятилетнего мальчика Икара весьма странное прозвище и трагическая судьба. Он жил с матерью, но их жизнь не отличалась яркими событиями. После внезапной смерти мамы Икар остается совсем один и замыкается в себе. По закону несовершеннолетнего направляют в детский дом, прислав за ним полицейского по имени Реймонд. Между мужчиной и мальчиком завязывается дружба, ставшая для Икара единственной поддержкой и связью с внешним миром. В скором времени главному герою предстоит попасть в мир, совершенно ему незнакомый и чуждый, в котором обитает множество детей с похожими судьбами.

Eliott, 30, is sent to Alaska for maintenance work on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, which crosses the state from north to south. Confronted with the grandeur of the wild expanses, Eliott gradually loses his grip. His work-related trip becomes a rite-of-passage adventure, the reason for which might lie closer to madness than he could ever have imagined.

Chubby is the nickname of Kevin, a 12 years old kid already weights 100 kilos (220.46 lb). If he keeps devours fries, pastries and ice cream everyday, he's gonna have heart attack sooner or later unless he decides to change his diet to turn around and stop eating junk food.
