Ольга Бакланова - русская и американская актриса. Её мать, известная театральная актриса, всячески поощряла интерес дочери к актёрской профессии. Девочка получила классическое образование и в шестнадцать лет успешно прошла конкурс в МХТ. С 16 лет и до 1925 года играла на сцене Художественного театра и в кино. Как и многие актёры того времени, Бакланова понимала, что её карьера напрямую зависит от лояльности новому режиму, в 1918 году актриса снялась в агитационно-пропагандистской картине "Хлеб". До этого у Баклановой был небольшой опыт работы в кино, преимущественно она снималась в немых короткометражках Виктора Туржанского с красноречивыми названиями: "Загробная скиталица" (1915), "Женщина-вампир" (1915), "Петля смерти" (1915). Заслуженная артистка РСФСР (1925). После гастролей театра в Америке на родину не вернулась. Играла в театре и снималась в Голливуде. Наиболее известный и даже скандальный (запрещённый к показу в ряде штатов) был фильм "Уродцы" (1932).

According to sideshow lore, Schlitzie was one of the most beloved performers.
