While her filmmaker husband works in Chile, harried young mother Liz struggles to take care of her infant son. Feeling out of place amongst the tight-knit group of other parents at the park, doubted by her husband, and judged by her newly hired nanny, Liz is drawn to factory worker Rosa, a plain-talking single mother she meets at the swings one day. Despite Liz’s liberation upon finding a bold new confidante, the friends’ increasingly apparent class differences, along with swirling rumors about Rosa’s motives and muddy family situation, feed Liz’s suspicions that her new pal might be a sinister influence on her already fragile life.

Two minstrels singing for their supper in Rome discover they've both been lovers to the same woman, and one of them is the father of her infant son; a privilege neither is willing to concede.

Pascale, married to an architect, misses her flight to London and is forced to stay in Berlin, at the Kleinhoff Hotel where she stayed as a student. Karl, a would-be revolutionary lives in the adjoining room and Pascale spies him and his ex-girl-friend through a hole. Then she follows him to a questionable place where she is arrested by the police during a revolutionists raid. When she returns to the Kleinhoff Hotel, Pascale finds Karl crying, and enters his room to console him and they have a love affair.

В первой новелле, обладающий внушительных размером органом, герой Паоло Вилладжио вынужден продавать каштановые пироги на улице. Но однажды ему выпадает шанс круто изменить свою судьбу... Во второй рассказывается о немолодом уже архитекторе, жена которого вмести с дочерью уезжает на море, и как раз в этот момент к нему приезжает в гости молоденькая сексапильная дочка старого друга. На протяжении третьей мы наблюдаем пикантную ситуацию, когда развратный священик и раскрепощенная красотка надолго застревают в лифте во время сиесты...

Типичная «комедия по-итальянски» с довольно распространённой новеллистической конструкцией. Каждая из трёх коротких историй представляет собой странный случай, анекдот из жизни, рисуя нравы разных слоёв общества. Это могут быть интеллектуалы (первый рассказ «Машина любви») и любители приятно провести время вместе с высокооплачиваемой проституткой по вызову (третья новелла «Недоразумение»). Или же вообще отщепенцы, изгои, отверженные, к которым присоединяется доведённый до отчаяния полицейский Энцо Лукарелли («Вышестоящий»).

Lando Buzzanca plays a man desperate to father a male heir. However, his wife (Roseanne Podesta) is apparently barren. They decide to use a surrogate mother, which, since this was in the days before artificial insemination, means Buzzanca will have to impregnate the surrogate the "old-fashioned" way. After a mishap involving a VERY unattractive but fertile widow, Buzzanca sets his sights on young girl (Gloria Guida) at an orphanage for unwed mothers (who has already given an illegitimate child up for adoption). They hire her as a maid, but she is under the impression they're going to adopt her, leading to some quasi-incestual misunderstandings...
