В ходе глобального поиска нефти главный герой Эгон Ольсен убеждает своих друзей купить парочку акций на рынке нефти. Однако совсем скоро юнец разгадывает страшную тайну: злодей эль-Атан обманывает правительство, и никакой нефти в Северном море нет.

Живя в детдоме, малыш Эгон Ольсен, конечно же, мечтает о богатстве и мировой славе. Вместе со своими товарищами он организовывает группу «Динамит» и выигрывает на музыкальном конкурсе главный приз — неплохую сумму денег. Легендарный, но жадный менеджер по имени Поп-Йохансен обещает сделать ребят знаменитыми, а для этого им нужно всего лишь внести взнос... Ну и в итоге, заполучив деньги, злодей скрывается. И теперь банде Ольсена предстоит вернуть свой гонорар и, конечно же, наказать злодея!
