This film talks about the possibility of the course of two lives through the love between Umut and Deniz. It questions how one’s decisions can shape their fate. Sometimes small moments and decisions can entirely change the course of our lives. Umut’s decision to take his dog Oscar for an evening walk allows his path to cross Deniz’s. On that night, Umut will have to decide between a gateway which leads to love and a life which he needs to face and encounter on his own.

Orhan who lived in London for years and did not come back to Turkey agrees to help Deniz -a famous director- edit his first book. Deniz has been living in a mansion with his family which started to lose its old brightness and power. Orhan finds himself in the middle of Deniz's complicated relationships, mysterious friends and stange family members. This is the first movie of Ferzan Ozpetek which is shot in Turkey after a long time. It is also based on his own book which has the same name with the movie.

36-year-old Alis starts living in his car after his father kicks him out of the house. He shaves on the street, eats the food his mother brings over to his car, and applies to job adverts that his mother marks in the newspaper for him. After a series of rejections, he finds himself working door-to-door marketing Karnaval brand carpet cleaners. An unusual bond forms between Alis and "Karnaval". Karnaval even moves in with Alis occupying the front seat of his car. In this new adventure of his, Alis meets a wedding cake-maker named Demet. She lives with her father ever since her mother's death, and dreams of hopping on her motorbike and moving to Istanbul where she would open up a bakery shop

События фильма разворачиваются в 1941 году. Молодое Государство, только поднявшееся на ноги, пытается модернизировать все, и в это же время в Европе начинается Вторая Мировая Война. В обществе, которое еще не сформировало свой взгляд для восприятия поэзии и искусств, эти молодые люди, заболевшие туберкулезом, будут стараться сделать так, чтобы все полюбили стихи.

Xate is an ordinary woman from Midyat with eight children in tow. The only thing that sets her apart is her husband's job as Mayor of Midyat. Until, that is, an extraordinary day changes her life - and the lives of everyone else in Midyat. For the illiterate, uneducated Xate becomes Mayor of Midyat! While she takes on her mayoral duties much as she does those in her house, the infantile rivalry between her children in municipal matters leads to adventures that have the Midyat folk howling with laughter.

Главные героини фильма — девушки Бехие и Хандан . Они обе — студентки. Из-за яркой внешности Бехие у неё нередко происходят конфликты с консервативными родителями и братом. Хандан живёт с матерью-одиночкой, отношения с которой у неё переменчивые.
