To make matters worse, the funeral home dressed her beloved late mother in a man's suit instead of her favorite dress. Enough is enough: Zeynep flees from Munich to the previously unknown holiday home on a Croatian island that her mother secretly bought years ago - with the hope of finding quiet, peace and herself there. If only the previous owner Josip, a rough islander, didn't still live on the same property and annoy her with his views and wisdom.

Weimar, 1921. The life of 20-year-old Lotte Brendel seems to be predetermined. Her father sees her as a future wife and mother on the side of a man who is to take over the parental carpentry business. But the idiosyncratic Lotte joins a group of young artists against the will of her family, applies at the Bauhaus and is accepted. The Weimar Bauhaus, under the direction of the visionary Walter Gropius, aspires not only to combine arts and crafts, but also to find the place for the "New Man". In the student Paul Seligmann Lotte finds a supporter and her great love.
Cinematography
Young Danny has left his home town in the middle of nowhere (="Nirgendwo") behind and moved to Berlin to study business. The twentysomething enjoys big city life and independence. When his father dies unexpectedly, however, Danny has to return to the Bavarian hinterlands for better or worse. He reunites with friends from his youth, Kirsten, Rob and Fresi, and the eternal couple of Tom and Mischa. Moreover, Danny's feelings for his first love Susu are rekindled. Everything seems like it used to be. It soon turns out, however, that Danny's friends are all still searching and have not found their places in life yet.
