Three friends find a secret tunnel under the ruins of a church that leads them to the basement of a dilapidated house and, incidentally, a group of counterfeiters.
At first, Dr. Sidney Schaefer feels honored and thrilled to be offered the job of the President's Analyst. But then the stress of the job and the paranoid spies that come with a sensitive government position get to him, and he runs away. Now spies from all over the world are after him, either to get him for their own side or to kill him and prevent someone else from getting him.
Сатирическая комедия. Во времена холодной войны советская подлодка садится на мель у мифического острова в штате Массачусетс. Не зная, что делать в данной ситуации, самым разумным решением оказывается высадиться на берег и найти судно, чтобы отбуксировать подлодку с мели и тихо уплыть. Однако незамеченными русским уйти не удается, и вот уже вскоре весь маленький островок в панике: «Русские идут! Русские идут!»
