Андрес и его сын Педро живут в рабочем квартале Каракаса и почти не видятся друг с другом. Мужчина всё время занят на работах, двенадцатилетний Педро днями болтается по городу в компании таких же, как он, мальчишек. Однажды во время игры Педро наносит серьёзную травму другому мальчику. Андрес решает, что им с сыном лучше бежать и где-то скрыться. Вынужденные беглецы, сплоченные бедой, они заново узнают друг друга и становятся ближе, чем когда бы то ни было.
