Bissu Usman (4 June 1901 – 14 December 1974) was an Indonesian actor. He was widely known by the public in the era from the 1930s to the 1970s.

Riding a white horse, Purbaya, the horseman from Cimande, comes to Sukajadi in search of his parents’ graves. There he runs into an old man who tells his past story. Purbaya is the son of Hamidah and Meureksa, who were murdered by Argasuta. Argasuta was in love with Hamidah and he sent Hasan Botak and Bagus Bantar after her. Upon hearing this, Hamidah turns hysterical and tries to kill Argasuta. But he survives, and Hamidah instead dies in the hands of his underlings. Then the story returns to the present where Purbaya takes his revenge on Argasuta. The film is filled with blood, castrated limbs, and exploding organs.
A married man has two daughters with his mistress and then abandons her. Years later, the mother is killed in a train accident while the now-grown daughters become involved with prostitution, pimps, rape and incest.
At the Jakarta Fair, there is a rumour that a major tycoon from Makassar will come looking for new machines and a business partner. There is a flurry of excitement as everyone tries to get the tycoon’s employees to drop by their stands. Mansur, one of business owners in the fair, asks his secretary, Sinta, to find Andi Rachmat Syah, the tycoon. Sinta then approaches Andi, a handsome man employed by the tycoon, to find out about his boss. The man promises to tell Sinta on one condition, that she has to take him around the fair. Samiaji, Mansur’s business competitor, who has a crush on Sinta, is jealous when he finds out about it. Till the end of the story, nobody knows that Andi takes Sinta home after nights of going around the Jakarta Fair.
Amidst the election rivalry of two villages for the village head post, Cigugur and Cijulang, a troupe of Ronggeng artists, with its prima donna, Sari, arrives at the sub-district center for their regular performance. Sari and Dadang, the son of the Village Elder of Cijulang, are in love with each other. Dadang is also running as a candidate in the village head elections. But Ohim, the son of the Cigugur Village Elder, is also madly in love with Sari. He gets even more daring after a humiliating incident when he tries to touch Sari’s hair bun on the ronggeng stage. The touching of the hair bun is one of the rituals in the traditional art of Ronggeng. Dadang’s father is angered by his son’s relationship with Sari, since it could jeopardize his candidacy as the head of the village.
Suro becomes obsessed with Ujung as a tool to take power over the village. His ambition stumbles when his daughter, Marni, falls in love with Kasan, an ordinary peasant from the same village.
Pak Guru
Machmood and Ali are best friends. Ali's father, Commander Usman, proposes to Guru to have his daughter Halimah, marry his son. But Halimah is Machmood's girl friend. So to get rid of Machmood, he orders him to eliminate the sea pirates. But unexpectedly, Ali follows him. Together they attack the pirates. Ali dies in the battle, and Machmood captures the pirate. Surprisingly, the pirate is the king's brother, who became a pirate to protest the King’s unjust rule of the kingdom. So the Sultan realises his mistakes and finally Machmood marries Halimah.

Prince Citra wants to replace the dying King Basilam. He threatens the queen that he will kill the baby in her womb if it turns out to be a boy. To save her son's life, the queen switches him with a baby girl, and she names her Princess Amidra. Taruk brings her son to Talisajan Island on the queen's order. Amir, Taruk's brother, nurtures the baby and he is named Hasan. After Hasan grows up, Amir tells him his true identity. So Hasan sets sail to the palace. Then, assisted by Taruk, Hasan gains the support of the people. Citra is dethroned, and Hasan takes his rightful place as the king. He marries Amidra, who turns out to be the daughter of a minister.
Achmadi is separated from his group during a trip to an island and is captured. Later, it turns out the Achmadi had once saved Bidasari, the daughter of a warlord who is holding him hostage. Then love grows between Achmadi and Bidasari. Unfortunately, Bidasari is already engaged to Perbada. Perbada's men capture Bidasari and her father but Achmadi succeeds in rescuing them.
Raden Darmadji and his friends visit Mustika Island to search for Raden's brother, who disappeared there ten years ago without a trace. The island is also the location where an ancient warrior named Maha Daru was buried 2000 years ago... only Maha Daru is still very much alive. Said to be strongly influenced by the Dracula films, this was censored in its home country multiple times yet became a box office hit nonetheless. It's also considered the very first Indonesian horror film.

In a chase scene between Djoekri and The Black Jackal, it turns out that Mardjoeki is still alive, and he is the man behind the mask all this time.
Johan Bessey is a tycoon with two daughters, Emma and Diana. Matula (the ugly face), wants to court Emma, so he makes a pact with the shaman to make him look good in return for his soul. He almost loses his soul but Johan Bessey’s magic bamboo spear prevents this. Matula returns to his original ugly look, and his body emanates a rancid odour.

They are Rusna and Daud. 15 years later the two become teenagers and live in the woods. There they meet the courageous Panglima Ali. At that time, Bintara is still conducting his evil deeds. But his life is ended by Panglima Ali’s blade.
Rainan
Travelling through his coconut plantation, Suhiyat, the prodigal son of a wealthy man, runs into Suyati who is being harassed by Rainan. When he helps Surati, he also inflames the jealousy of Rasmina, the widow, who is attracted to him, even though she is courted by Karta. Heartbroken, she gets Rainan to abduct Surati. But she escapes inside the woods and manages to befriend the animals. These animals are the ones who save her when Rainan's men raid the woods to take her back. Finally Suhiyat rescues Suyati. Rasmina regrets her evil deeds and returns to her former husband, Karta.
Haji Saleh is going on a pilgrimage to the sacred mountain. Meanwhile, his wife and daughter, Suti, stay behind in Tangerang. As the beauty of the village, Suti attracts a lot of young men. But Saari is the one who she is interested in. Yet, Saari faces competition from Usin. In the end, Saari emerges victorious. Later, it is revealed that the one who has been keeping Suti out of danger is none other than Pengkor, who is her own father Haji Saleh.
The siblings, Kim Djin and Kim Tjiang’s characters are as different as between the earth and the sky. The older of the two is lazy and spoiled by his father. On the contrary, the father, Tan Koan Liong, underestimates the hardworking and honest, Kim Tjiang. His father even throws Kim Tjiang out of the house believing in Kim Djin's slanderous gossip.
